I am starting to learn docker and I am trying to build a container to run a application that I don't have to launch manually within the container, but instead it just starts and the container exits when I exit the application.

I've tried to use ENTRYPOINT and CMD but I either get the container exiting with no errors or I get errors about the file not being found.

I can start the container with the ENTRYPOINT or CMD and just run /bin/sh and then launch the application and it …
