Hi, I am planning to add SSL in the connection between my EC2 and RDS Instances. I am reading online that there is a performance overhead, with a research paper stating that it's very noticeable when the RDS gets a lot of request hits.

How big of a performance overhead is there when adding SSL between EC2 and RDS communication? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated, Thankyou.
