Hey All,

I'm making an Ecommerce site with an appsync backend. Can anyone please evaluate the decisions I am making and let me know if there's something I should do differently with regards to using SQS v directly invoking the lambda function?

Currently, I've got a mutation for onboarding which does the following

  • create cognito user by hitting cognito API with http resolver
  • hit sqs api with http resolver, passing the cognito user ID to the sqs queue. This triggers a lambda function which creates a stripe customer for that …
